Coating
Silicasol can be made into coating for casting with fireproof powder. When casing steel ingot, this coating can prevent the adhesion of liquid steel and abrasion of slab. In equal volume of silicasol, small-scale silicasol has sharply increased colloidal particles and contact points. So it is of superior cohesiveness, higher strength of paint film and capability of coating.
Paper making industry
Cohesion and winding between films can be prevented with the help of mixed solution of silicasol and glycerin monostearate. In carbon-free paper making industry, silicasol can take the place of clay, French chock and carbon dioxide powder coating to make the color of paper brighter.
