This product takes hydrogen ion as its stabilizer. It is used as battery electrolyte, beverage clarifier and flock finish. Only a few major application fields are as follows:    

Battery industry
Electric conductive gel-type colloid electrolyte can be made by adding silicasol into electrolyte of storage battery. This kind of electrolyte can prevent leakage, reduce pollution and prolong the service life of storage battery. Silicasol is also applied widely in battery separator to increase its strength and durability.

Textile industry
Silicasol can be used to improve the spinnability of wool, reduce broken ends, prevent flying and increase the yield. It is applied in sizing agent of chaine to improve its cohesion and make it easy to dust off. While used as flock additive, silicasol can improve the antistatic ability of fluff largely. The textile being disposed by silicasol has many advantages such as delustered, skid-resistant, wear resistant, washable, stain resistant, static-free and so on.

Others
Silicasol is also used extensively as water purifier, clarifier, dispersant of picture tube coating and brightener of semiconductor component. In addition, it is also used to dispose of carbon products, chemical fabric decorating and enhanced foamed rubber etc.
